Based off of Russia’s soldiers, Sova is another one of the agents available to players in
Valorant. Sova is an initiator, who can rush into sites and keep enemies at bay. Sova’s main weapon is a bow and arrow, which he uses to track, find, and eliminate enemies.
Sova’s first ability is called “Shock Bolt.” This ability allows Sova to shoot an explosive shock
bolt wherever he wants. The bolt detonates upon collision, and it shocks and damages players nearby. Depending on how long Sova pulls, the bolt will go either a short distance or a much longer distance. Sova can also choose to let the bolt bounce, and if he chooses to do so, the bolt can ricochet up to two times before exploding.
“Recon Bolt” is Sova’s second ability. Recon Bolt is another bolt launched from Sova’s bow, and it also activates upon collision. Once activated, this bolt will reveal the location of nearby enemies caught in the vicinity of the bolt. Again, Sova can maximize or minimize the distance the bolt goes, and can also add bounces to its path. This skill is good to have when you need to quickly identify where the enemy is located in order to end the round.
Sova’s third power is “Owl Drone.” This enables Sova to equip and launch a drone, which he is able to control. Sova can also see through the drone. Once the drone is within sight of an
opposing player, Sova can shoot a tracking dart from the drone, and it will reveal the location of the tracked player until he or she removes the tracker. But, enemy players can shoot and
destroy the drone, so be careful to stay hidden.
Sova’s ultimate ability is called “Hunter’s Fury.” Hunter’s Fury includes three long-range energy
blasts. These blasts can be fired anywhere, including through walls and buildings. Any enemies caught in the blast will have their location revealed and will take a lot of damage. Once this ability has been activated, a timer will start to count down, and while the timer is still active, Sova can reuse this ability up to two times.
This agent is very helpful because of his ability to track down enemies. Having enemies tracked is a really good advantage to have because it allows you to follow their movements without having to go out and risk your safety to do so. Overall, Sova is a good player to try out if you want to try a more tactical agent.
