If, over the summer, you find yourself bored and wanting to play a fun game, then I highly recommend trying Skribbl.io because it’s a really great game to play with a group of friends looking for laughs.
Skribbl.io is sort of like pictionary, where players rotate and draw pictures. Whoever is up first is given three words to choose from. That player will choose a word to use as the prompt and attempt to draw, to the best of their abilities, the word they chose in a certain amount of time.
All of the other players must type guesses of what is being drawn into the chat box. Like hangman, the word that is chosen will appear on the screen as a series of blanks, so spectating players can see if their guess matches the number of letters in the word. Also, as time progresses, a few letters will appear and replace the blanks on the screen. This acts as a sort of hint for players who have yet to guess the prompt.
As players type responses into the box, the game will tell you if you’re anywhere close to the prompt. And while everyone can see your guesses, no one but yourself can see the close guesses and the correct answer. Once you have the correct guess, you will receive a checkmark and a certain amount of points. Points are awarded to players for speed, accuracy, and how many people before you have already gotten the right answer. At the end of the game, when all players have taken turns drawing, the total number of points is tallied up and a winner is declared.
Skribbl.io is extremely fun to play with friends and family because it allows everyone to discuss and laugh at the drawings and hints. So if you have a friend group in mind, and you’re looking to play a few games this summer, definitely check out and consider trying Skribbl.io.
