“And There Were None” is an extremely famous book written by detective fiction author Agatha Christie. She is often referred to as the Queen of Mystery because she wrote more than 66 detective fiction novels and 14 short story collections. “And There Were None” is one of her most famous novels and the book she had the hardest time writing. The story takes place on a remote Indian island, off the English Coast. Eight people, who are all strangers to each other, are invited to this island by a strange host that none of the guests recognize, so the people conclude that they were brought to this island according to someone’s scheme.
As days and nights pass, each guest is killed one by one, by a murderer that no one is aware of. At first, the people thought that these murders were suicide, but as more people are killed mysteriously, the guests become more and more afraid and anxious. The guests tried to leave the island, but the boat that provided supplies did not show up. Because the guests were trapped, they were isolated on an island with a mysterious murderer that is starting to kill all the people. But, are these killings for justice or are these killings just unreasonable?
Overall, this novel is extremely different from some other detective fiction books. The plot line is genius and the readers will feel the need to keep reading the book to figure out the mystery. There are many unique and distinctive features about this book that makes it so amazing, like unusual and unexpected plot twists throughout the book. Do you think all of the guests of the island will die, or will some of them stay alive? Who do you think might be the murderer and mastermind of this entire scheme? Can you solve the mystery? Check out “And There Were None” to find out.
