New Pokemon Snap

On April 30, New Pokemon Snap was released to the public, and ever since, many gamers have embarked on their Pokemon collecting adventures. As a remodeled version of the old 1999 Pokemon Snap video game, it features new Pokemon, habitats, and trainers.

Set in the new Lental region, New Pokemon Snap allows players to journey throughout all of the islands, each with different habitats, and capture photos of unique Pokemon to grow a collection.

Basically how the game works is players are sent to various islands. While on the island, players try to spot wild Pokemon, and can give them food such as apples to lure them closer. When Pokemon are within frame, players can take photographs of them. After the day is over, trainers will rate each of the photographs taken, giving them a rating of one to four stars. The more stars, the more XP is given. Players should try and have a photo of all ratings for one Pokemon species.

The best photograph of each species is chosen to be the main photo for a player’s Photodex, which is a collection of photos from all of the Pokemon the player has encountered. As a player gains XP and more experience, they can advance and earn more luring devices as well as the chance to venture to different islands.

New Pokemon Snap is a very fun game to play if you’re looking to have a quiet gaming session that still presents a fun challenge. This game is available to play on Nintendo Switch, so if this is something that interests you and you have the necessary devices, definitely check out this game!
