Yoru comes from his home country of Japan. This agent is capable of ripping holes straight
through reality and creating illusions anywhere on the map. Because Yoru is a duelist, he is able to use his abilities to fight others and create deception all over the map.
“Blindside” is Yoru’s first ability. This allows Yoru to rip a small fragment of dimension from reality and throw it wherever he pleases. Once it has reached the desired destination and made contact with a hard surface, the fragment will activate a flash that blinds opponents and makes it disorienting for those who look at it.
Yoru’s second ability is called “Gatecrash.” This ability enables Yoru to equip something called a “rift tether.” He can then send the tether outwards in whatever direction he wants. Once the tether has reached the optimal position, Yoru can lock it in place. Now, at any time, Yoru can teleport from anywhere on the map to the position of his tether. However, enemies can destroy his tether and make it so that Yoru is unable to teleport.
“Fakeout” is Yoru’s third ability. Yoru is able to send out an echo in whatever direction. This echo mimics the sound of footsteps walking, so it throws off the enemy’s trail and makes Yoru harder to track down. Yoru can also place down an echo and wait to activate it later, but it will activate wherever it was placed down earlier.
Yoru’s ultimate ability is called “Dimensional Drift.” When dimensional drifting, Yoru puts on a mask that allows him to see between dimensions. While Yoru is in his other dimension, he is
unable to be affected or seen by enemies and allies alike. Whenever Yoru wishes to leave his dimension, he tears through the veils and appears wherever he is on the map with no trace of
being there.
Yoru is not a commonly used agent, but he is really fun to try and play because he is able to perform cool tricks through the different dimensions. If you’re into the slightly secretive and
mysterious style of fighting, you’ll enjoy Yoru for sure.
